Sprint #11: Progress on new monsters part 2


This is part 2 of the devlog for sprint #11 of Margoq's Lair. This sprint has been focused on sketching out enemies that are to be implemented in the game. Part 1 had the Sand worm, Skeleton Warrior, Zombie and Lizard enemies described. 

Now introducing the 4 next enemies:

Vampire


The vampire is a master of melee combat. When moving it turns into a bat and it groups of with its bat minions. When low on health the vampire will eat a nearby bat to regain health and continue the combat.

Skeletal Abomination

The skeletal abominations can resurrect other undead creatures and cast crippeling abilities on the enemy. It doesn't move in traditional ways, but teleports around. Catch them quickly to eleminate them before they ressurrect their buddies!

Skeletons


In part 1 the skeletal warriors was introduced. The skeleton family has been expanded by different types: two-handed warriors that makes slow hits that hit decently hard if not avoided, the sword-and-board which was introduced in part 1 of this devlog, which blocks attacks until the shield is either broken or the skeleton is stunned, and the mage, which will cast buffs on other skeletons and cause damage-over-time effects on the player.


Ghosts


Ghosts transport in and out of the underworld, making them difficult to control, catch and see. They can turn invisible and jump the enemy, and attacks against them are harder to land.


Note: These enemies are not implemented in the game yet, but are to be implemented in the coming sprints.
